Design work costs between $150 and $175/hour.  The number of hours is estimated up front, and the actual cost depends on the number of hours of design work provided.   A guest bathroom can run anywhere from 14 to 24 hours on average, a kitchen 16 to 35 hours.  A good guide is that design costs between 7 to 10% of the cost of construction. 

It depends on many factors including the complexity and extent of the project, how much time a client needs to consider their choices, as well as our current design schedule.   A small bathroom on average takes between 3 and 6 weeks but there’s no hard or fast rules.
